Presidents Message

January started out with a bang.  The monthly meeting at Delaware Porsche featuring a Tech session drew almost 50 members.  Great stuff!  Jack introduced us to the DFI technology included in the newer cars, maintenance procedures and issues, and radar detection options.  We were riveted!  By the time you read this we will have attended the 991 intro at Delaware Porsche (Again I apologize for that bad date in the last newsletter – Friday Feb 3 is/was the date).

Our planning group met in January and continued to refine the calendar of events for the year 2012.  We now have dates for our core planned events allowing us to add events as they are proposed.  The website is the best location for the calendar, events included are summer and fall picnics, Auto X series, Driver Ed event in October, the Braille Rally, car shows and tours. 

Our February meeting (Feb 8) will be held at Mid Atlantic GP Indoor kart facility.  The meeting will be short (food provided) and will come to a formal end.  (Our insurance will not extend beyond the meeting and member activities at that point are a personal choice).

March meeting (Mar 14) takes us back to the Clarion.  A speaker on the topic of wraps and clear bra’s is being arranged.

January weather has cooperated and provided many great driving days.  It’s going to be a good year.  Join us for the February meeting.
