Schaefer’s Canal House Meeting

It has been a club tradition to have our special summer dinner at Schaefer’s canal house in Chesapeake City, and this year was no exception.  Schaefer’s offers a great venue right on the C&D canal, where folks can relax and have drinks on the deck, watch the ships and boats travel along the canal, and really enjoy a pleasant summer evening.  This year some early birds made it for happy hour, and for dinner, we had a great turnout of over 50 guests.  At one point a massive car carrier came up the canal from Baltimore, and it was quite impressive.  Maybe there were some Porsches on that boat, who knows.  Service at Schaefer’s was very good this year, and by all accounts, everyone had a very nice time.
